Collaborative Working

Why I am proud to be part of an early years collaboration.

Formal collaborations are supported by The Education People to work collectively to fulfil common aims, with a view to improving outcomes for children.

Some collaborations have a large membership and others are smaller.  Our collaboration has five settings, each different, but all situated locally.

We were set up in 2017 with a purpose to:

  • identify, discuss and address issues of common concern
  • exchange ideas, strengthen skills and knowledge, sharing examples of good practice
  • facilitate a shared understanding of the families in the local community.

We have developed a trusting relationship, where we share our concerns in a safe environment, whilst supporting each other with shared training and resources, improving our own settings and outcomes for children.
