What is Early Talk Boost?
Early Talk Boost is a targeted intervention aimed at children aged 3-4 with delayed language development, boosting their language skills to help narrow the gap between them and their peers. Early Talk Boost has been designed by specialist Speech and Language Therapists and a highly experienced Nursery Teacher.
Our Journey
We have been running Early Talk Boost for three terms with a group of eight identified children who needed targeted support. Within this group we had a high proportion of disadvantaged children.
We noticed in the short space of time a marked improvement in children’s attention and listening skills and confidence in communicating. As a result of the support offered by our highly skilled practitioner, our children are able to talk and understand words which are key skills for young children, enabling them to access all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
We are proud of the progress our children have made and would highly recommend introducing this fun, interactive and easy to follow programme. Please do come and visit us at our school to see Early Talk Boost in action.
