A Guide to Implementation and Managing Change focusing on Early Literacy

Please note the original date of 25/03/24 has now been rescheduled to 16/04/24.

Jen Ogden, Deputy Director at Town End Research School, will deliver the first part of this session and will focus on the process of  effective implementation and managing staff through the process of change, when introducing evidence informed practices and approaches into your setting.

Practitioners will develop their knowledge of the four evidence-informed processes 'explore, prepare, deliver, sustain' from the EEF's 'A guide to Effective Implementation'.

The second part of the session will be delivered by Diane Jeffries and Katrina Di Girolami from the GN hub and it will include:

  • a systematic approach to using the Launchpad for Literacy skills framework, to select which speech, language and communication skills strands to prioritise first, bespoke to individual needs of your children, when introducing Launchpad into your setting.
  • how to establish children's starting points and monitor children's progress from low starting points, using the Launchpad for Literacy diagnostic tool
  • examples of practical activities linked to Launchpad's early literacy, communication and language skill strands.

Lunch is included and you will also receive a free resource to support implementation of this theme back into your setting (please note this is limited to one resource per setting).
