From ambition to action — your pathway to impact
Wherever you are on your climate action journey, the Climate Ambassadors are here to support you. This set of resources, shared at our recent Leaders and Managers Network meeting, is designed to guide you through developing and delivering your Climate Action Plan.
Why Sustainability Leadership and a Climate Action Plan Matter in Early Years
The most successful early years settings tackling climate change have one thing in common: clear leadership and a practical, whole-setting action plan.
Putting sustainability leadership in place and creating a climate action plan can help your setting to:
- Build staff confidence and knowledge around climate change
- Create a culture where sustainability is part of everyday practice
- Reduce energy and water use, cutting costs
- Track your carbon footprint and find ways to lower it
- Support nature and enhance outdoor spaces
- Share ideas with other settings and learn together
- Help children build an early understanding of care for the planet
Start small—but start now! Leadership and planning make all the difference.
