Overview
Aiming High Early Years Stronger Practice Hub is committed to improving the quality of early years education across Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Central Bedfordshire.
Based at Caverstede Nursery School in Peterborough, we work in partnership with the Department for Education and The Ambition Institute. Our support is designed to be practical, accessible and responsive to the needs of the early years sector with opportunities for early years professionals to learn together and develop their practice.
The hub is fully funded, meaning the offer will always be free to those who take part. The team running the hub are all currently working within schools/settings/local authority and want to offer support across the whole Early Years sector.
Our vision:
Our vision is to build a connected and confident early years workforce that is equipped with the knowledge, skills and support needed to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed practice and help every child thrive.
What we do:
The hub will provide bespoke support, networks, guidance and training to early years settings, childminders and schools.
Practitioners can access a range of facilities, including:
- online resources, including webinars
- evidence-informed training programmes, helping early years professionals’ access high-quality professional development, informed by the latest research and evidence.
- support with continuous professional development, enabling practitioners and leaders to reflect on evidence, build confidence and develop sustainable improvements in practice.
- bespoke support including coaching and mentoring
- networks and peer-to-peer learning
- newsletters and blogs
Stronger Practice Advisers:
Our Stronger Practice Advisers provide targeted support to early years settings and childminders looking to develop specific areas of practice.
They work alongside practitioners to:
- Identify strengths and areas for development
- Support implementation of evidence-informed approaches
- Signpost resources and professional development opportunities
- Facilitate reflective practice
- Encourage continuous quality improvement
This support is collaborative, practical and tailored to the needs of individual settings.
