Evidence tells us that the quality of education and care in early years has the biggest impact on children’s outcomes within a childcare setting, particularly for socio-economically disadvantaged children. To support practitioners the government has launched new fully funded CPD training opportunities specifically aimed at the Early Years.
The Early Years Language CPD training for 2–4-year-olds comprises a mixture of e-learning modules and taught webinars delivered over 7 weeks. Led by Ivana Barron, this programme will guide you through a reflective, evidence informed process to help you select, adapt and embed evidence informed approaches and interventions to support communication and language development. After an initial welcoming session, each week you will be required to complete a 2-hour e-learning module and attend a 90-minute taught webinar, via Microsoft Teams. The final session of each cohort will be in person to promote networking and sharing of practice.
Between Autumn 2026 and Spring 2028, 2 cohorts will be offered per term at a variety of times and weekdays to suit all practitioners working with 2–4-year-olds. These programmes are being offered across Norfolk and Suffolk on different days and times, so please choose the cohort that will be most suitable for you.
To attend, you must already hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare.
