We are joined by Ruth Swailes, an education consultant. Ruth's award-winning career has spanned more than 20 years working with children both inside and outside the classroom, including 17 years in senior leadership, headship, moderation and in SEN advisory work. We will be exploring the importance of all things Early Years including the links to the White Paper around executive function and the importance of children developing these skills. We will consider ways we can encourage this through the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning. We will also look at curriculum development, considering in detail continuous provision planning and how to make the most of learning opportunities available for children.
