Communication is much more than spoken words. Join the Goosehill Early Excellence team for a practical, interactive network which explores how a Total Communication approach can help children and young people with a range of communication needs to understand, express themselves, make choices and participate more fully in outdoor experiences.
Using the Means, Reasons and Opportunities model, we will consider not only how a child communicates, but whether they have meaningful reasons and genuine opportunities to communicate within an outdoor session.
Participants will explore practical strategies that can be woven naturally into Forest School and outdoor provision.
