The Department for Education’s Best Start in Life programme strengthens this principle by ensuring Early Years practitioners have the skills, confidence and knowledge to deliver high‑quality communication and language support, guided by the expertise of Early Language Leads.
Our Communication and Language CPD (2-4 year olds) consists of 14 hours of online self-led learning comprising 7 units with 1.5 hours live webinars/seminars after each unit, totalling to 24.5 hours of learning.

- Understanding typical language development
- Creating communication supportive environments
- Achieving high-quality interactions
- Measuring progress, identifying needs
- How language supports behaviour and wellbeing
- Building partnership with parent/scarrs
- Embedding good communication and language in your setting
