Effective Continuous Provision

Live Webinar: Effective Continuous Provision with Sarah Quinn from QED (Quinn Education Development)

This webinar will focus on developing highly effective early years and key stage 1 environments that enable children to practise and apply their taught skills and knowledge. Delegates will be able to consider the ‘thread of learning’ that runs through their environment and how to ensure children are using the continuous provision, inside and outside, to drive and embed learning and development.

During the session delegates will consider their curriculum, teaching and continuous provision and how these elements come together to support children’s learning. They will consider their role in the continuous provision and will start to critically evaluate the quality of the environment. They will evaluate what is being offered by asking, ‘why this, why now?’

Delegates will:

  • Evaluate the quality of their environment and the continuous provision offered
  • Consider the impact the continuous provision has on children’s learning and development
  • Consider how the provision supports the curriculum and the sequence of learning to ensure children practise and apply what they need to.
