For this network meeting we will be looking at the mathematical strand of pattern. How do we make and describe patterns? How do we support children to progressively develop the language they need to describe their understanding in this area. Making and spotting patterns helps children understand mathematical relationships. We will start with categorising and organising as the very first step to being able to create patterns. Come along for some fun practical ideas to bring this mathematical strand to life. Bring your experiences to share and any questions you may have that we can address in the moment drawing on the expertise of the group.
